LIKAT is a competent partner for the research and development of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts as well as catalytic processes and technologies. LIKATs focus is on application-oriented basic research and applied research. Therefore, it cooperates with industrial companies and research institutes worldwide.
The research group of organocatalysis in the department of catalysis with renewables & platform chemicals has an opening for a position in this area.
The development of homogenous binary sorbent systems for the capture of carbon dioxide at low partial pressures, e.g. from air. The development of new catalytic systems for the subsequent conversion of the captured carbon dioxide to value added products e.g. reduction to methanol.
A Diploma or Master degree in organic chemistry or a related field. Profound experience in organic synthesis and homogeneous catalysis. Outstanding motivation and willingness to work in an international interdisciplinary team.
We offer a challenging PhD position in an excellent, international environment at the LIKAT Rostock. The position is available from April 1, 2021 and limited to 3 years. Place of work is Rostock. The salary is based on public service rates of the German states (E 13 TV-L, 50%).
