Guide for dealing with conflict
The Leibniz Association is gradually expanding its responsiveness structures to ensure they are appropriate for dealing with issues of integrity.
In conflict situations, employees of the Leibniz institutions can consult the decentralised ombudspersons, as well as the works council, staff council and equality officers of the institution in question.
At central level, conflicts concerning good scientific practice and allegations of scientific misconduct are dealt with by the central ombudspersons. The Leibniz Commission for Research Ethics is the point of contact for questions concerning safety and security and the ethics of research projects, both during the conceptual design stage and during the research itself. Offerings relating to the standards set out in the Guiding Principles for our Actions are in preparation. They will help prevent and resolve conflicts.
